By Jean Michel Deluc : Master Sommelier
Eye - An intense ruby coloured wine with slightly more tender shades near the rim of the glass. The are still tints of violet but the wine has started its evolution. A glossy wine that is opaque due to its density and has a medium concentration.Nose - On the nose this wine offers the same delicate and classy composition that you would expect from a Margaux. An incredible fruitiness accompanied by the background aromas of the aging process. The perfume is dominated by the scent of blackcurrants after the wine has been aired. It quickly gains in volume and offers notes of liquorice and mild tobacco on the finish. This wine is full of elegance and grace.
Palate - On the palate the wine is initially very supple and fruity with more acidic flavours in the centre of your mouth. The finesse of the nose is found again on the palate with a velvety smoothness that is marked by the tannins. The liquoricey finish is tells of the wines youth. Very agreeable wine overall.
